Show me the sky, the stars, or the moon -- pick two.

fter a quite demanding day -- it started with the conversion of the kitchen into a neat construction area after a minor leakage which seemingly wetted the construction enough to make us break through the floor -- and continued with a rather clouded sky in the evening.
Day 17th - Watching The Sky
When I took a look later tonight I found all the clouds had disappeared and very much to my surprise the moon didn't show either. Time to put the cam on the tripod and to run a very long exposure at a very wide aperture. It got some 7 minutes at f:2.8 (Nikkor 20mm) at ISO 200. As compression kills most of the dimmer star trails, I attached a 1:1 detail -- click at the gallery picture below to see how many stars appeared tonight (and as a bonus, I added a shot of the construction area, just in case you're curious…)
Still In This Thirty Day Challenge
Thanks to Andromeda 5000 for providing the raw list. It didn't appear to be a challenge at first, but believe me, it is -- if you have a life, too, as the number of drop-outs will tell you. The adding of part of the house adds a lot of impact to this image, very well composed even before you opened up the cam lens.

The star trails look awesome. The 1:1 shows them to be a bit wobbly, but at the large size, they look great! Adding the building in the shot is fantastic, as it gives a good impression of scale and grounds the shot well. Very nice work and something I have tried before and failed at. Will have to give it another go next time we are ever out in the countryside!
And, I WAS interested in the construction and it looks like it's going to be a big job!
